Adform continues to update our digital media advertisement offerings. This week we released an update for the in-stream video advertising format - the format is now fully compliant with IAB standards.
The updated in-stream video ad format provides many useful functionalities. It allows numerous video formats to be used for the same advertisement - when the ad is shown the best suited format is automatically chosen according to bandwidth and other technical parameters assuring the best possible user experience. The update also allows videos to be stored centrally thereby eliminating the need to physically distribute videos across media channels.
The IAB partnership assures that Adform’s innovative digital advertisement options comply with market standards. „We are happy to provide our clients with state of the art advertisement options and at the same time help IAB in their effort to standardize digital advertisement“ says Dominyka Selskytė, System Analyst at Adform.
Updated User Permission System

It‘s summertime, but summer doesn‘t stop us from developing new features and updates... Within the coming week, we will release an update to the Adform User Permission System. The new features will allow for more flexibility and control over user access keeping the same high level of security as our clients are used to.
Here is what our users can expect from this update:
- Users with Admin rights will now have a possibility to grant Administrator level access to other users.
- Possibility to restrict access to different system modules.
- Possibility to allow access to campaigns without having to set system user as responsible/co-responsible for the campaign.

More display advertising possibilities with Adform

Adform constantly updates its display advertising offerings globally. This time we are happy to announce new rich media and ad serving options available due to new certifications in the UK and North America.
Recently acquired certificates from Microsoft Advertising provide extra rich media possibilities that advertisers are often looking for. New rich media solutions in the UK market include Float to rectangle, In page ads, MSN Messenger Marquee and Super expanding banners plus other Rich Media formats.
We are also proud to announce that Adform is now also certified ad serving and rich media vendor for the Google Content Network in North America.
Adform Rotators: Powerful targeting & optimization made easy

Adform Rotators can do much more than just rotate your creative material randomly. You can easily use the Rotators for campaign optimization by different criteria like click-through rate, or conversion rate. Furthermore, Rotators can be used to target users with the most relevant and engaging messages. There are several ways targeting can be done using Adform Rotators - some of the most popular are Geographical, Time, Technical, IP targeting and Retargeting.
- Geographical targeting allows for detailed targeting of users in countries, regions and cities. This way, only relevant messages reach users in different geographical areas in the same campaign.
- Time targeting allows advertisers to schedule messages by date, weekday and time so you can plan campaign changes in advance and program all changes in advance.
- Technical and IP targeting focuses on technical details – using technical targeting you can specify banners what users with e.g. different browsers or screen resolutions will see. IP targeting allows delivery of specified messages to IP groups. That is especially useful when targeting large companies, businesses, etc.
- Retargeting is one of the most exciting features available in Adform Rotators. You can use tracking data to optimize campaigns and deliver specific messages to users depending on their browsing history and Adform Retargeting is proved to significantly improve campaign performance.

Synchronized Ads

In digital advertising campaigns stand-out formats like 'Hockey stick/corner' ads and 'Take-over' ads often consists of two or more elements. These elements have historically been served on separate tags depending on the publisher to serve the elements simultaneously. To solve this Adform in Q3 2010 introduces an update to our ad serving platform: Synchronized Ads.
When advertisers use Adform Synchronized Ads in a defined 'advertising space' like a publishers home page, the 'advertising space' elements are always served and measured together, thus the name Synchronized Ads.
Synchronized Ads will enable advertisers to:
- Run Synchronized Ads consisting of two or more elements with a guarantee that they are always displayed simultaneously.
- Count impressions per Synchronized Ad instead of per tag/banner
- Reporting done as one item in the reports compared to reporting being done per tag/banner
- Easy rotation/scheduling of all elements in a Synchronized Ad
Furthermore Synchronized Ads allows the different elements to interact - i.e. an ended streaming video in one banner starts a new streaming video in another banner. The communication between the elements can be directed in any convenient way (senders/listeners) and there are no limitations to the content.
Report Template Manager updated

Adform‘s report template manager has just been released in an updated version. This update allows advertisers to sort, categorize and search for report templates easier than ever before.
All templates can now be categorized by dragging and dropping them into selected folders or marked as favorite for easy access. Search function is now also available in the template manager – it allows user to serch for a required report in an intuitive way.
The New template manager also provides quick overview of report details. It is now possible to review dimensions and metrics of a report in a user-friendly way without the a need to edit or generate the report template itself.
To access the report template manager, just login to Adform and choose "Template Manager" from the Reports menu.

Adform has been selected as a finalist for Red Herring's Europe 100 award, a prestigious list honoring the year’s most promising private technology ventures from the world European business region.
The Red Herring editorial team selected the most innovative companies from a pool of hundreds from across Europe. The nominees are evaluated on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, quality of management, execution of strategy, and integration into their respective industries.

Path To Lead reporting

Digital advertisement is all about measurability. While benchmarking is one of the main ways to evaluate campaigns, it tells very little about how you can optimize your future campaign activities. Therefore Adform recently introduced a new version of the “Path To Lead” report which reveals the paths users take before reaching a defined goal or lead.
Path To Lead analysis provides insights on media as well as website performance thereby providing marketers with important insights for future campaign improvements.
Marketers can analyze user paths from all sources, including non-campaign traffic and natural search. The report provides numerous valuable data outputs such as: Interaction type, first interaction date, total number of interactions before purchase along with media, banner size and search keywords. Reporting can be done on any kind of goal or lead – from standard visit to sales amounts.

From Q2 2010 advertisers can get the best out of two major web marketing tools – Adform and Omniture. The partnership further expands the vast possibilities available in both systems.
One of the key benefits achieved by integrating the two systems is an increased insight into ROAS; data from campaigns in Adform can now be connected with on-site analytics such as revenue generated, products sold etc. available in SiteCatalyst from Omniture.
